Here’s a roundup of metro area events this weekend:
Minnesota Record Show’s 30th Anniversary
If you’re a fan of music on vinyl, you have a chance to check out a ton of it at a Minneapolis brewery.
The Minnesota Record Show is celebrating its 30th anniversary Saturday at Surly Brewing Co.
Thirty vendors will be on site with vinyl records, CDs, posters, and more.
The event is going on from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are $2.
Drive-in movie series at Union Depot
There’s a chance to catch a drive-in movie at Union Depot in St. Paul this weekend.
Friday night, the showing is “Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
It starts at 9:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 per vehicle.
Dogs are allowed as long as they’re leashed when outside vehicles.
Food trucks will also be on site.
‘Super Eid’ at U.S. Bank Stadium
Roughly 50,000 people will fill U.S. Bank Stadium Saturday morning for “Super Eid.”
Eid al-Adha is one of the holiest celebrations on the Muslim calendar. It’s a moment for reflection, compassion and sharing food with those in need.
Doors open at 6 a.m. and it is free to attend but registration is required.
This year’s event will focus on sending help to the Horn of Africa, which is suffering its worst drought in 40 years.
After the prayer services, there will be a celebratory carnival in the afternoon from 2-8 p.m. at Commons Park. Tickets for that are $20.
The event is open to anyone interested in attending, regardless of their religious faith. Organizers say they hope it will be an opportunity to break down stereotypes about Muslims and help people get to know their neighbors.
2022 Hamel Rodeo
If you’re interested in taking a drive outside the Twin Cities, the 2022 Hamel Rodeo is underway in Corcoran.
The event kicked off Thursday and picks back up Friday night.
General admission tickets are $24 and $18 for Saturday afternoon’s performance for Family Fun Day, which is a fundraiser supporting the Minnesota Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation.
