Washington County home damaged in overnight fire, no injuries reported

UPDATE 12:45 p.m. – Stillwater Fire Department officials say no one was injured during a late-night fire on Tuesday in May Township.

According to Chief Stuart Glaser, crews were called to the home on Square Lake Train North at 10:25 p.m. for a fire that had started in the attached garage and was spreading to the house.

Chief Glaser adds the homeowners, who were home at the time, escaped with their dog after being alerted by smoke detectors.

The fire was eventually contained.

The cause is still being investigated.

House damaged by overnight fire

A Washington County home is damaged Wednesday morning after flames broke out late Tuesday night.

INITIAL REPORT 7:30 a.m. – A house in Washington County was left heavily damaged after a fire late Tuesday night.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer captured the scene around 10:30 p.m. 

The fire happened at a home just off Square Lake Trail North in May Township, about 10 miles north of downtown Stillwater.
