Washington County deputies find loose emu in Grant

Washington County deputies were in for a surprise during Thursday’s shift.

They were tasked with locating an emu that got loose in Grant. They found him eating apples with a homeowner.

Not to worry, no fowl play was involved — the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said this guy was friendly.
