Warrant issued for St. Paul woman who pleaded guilty in fatal hit-and-run

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a woman who pleaded guilty this month for a fatal hit-and-run that happened last year in north Minneapolis.

Aissata Dore, 21, of St. Paul pleaded guilty to one count of criminal vehicular homicide on July 11 in connection with a May 28, 2021, crash that killed of 23-year-old Kevin Dodge-Fjelbroten.

Court records show a bench warrant for Dore’s apprehension was issued on July 25 when it was reported that Dore violated the interim conditions of the case. The condition being that Dore must remain on electronic home monitoring (EHM) and follow all EHM rules.

Dore’s sentencing was scheduled for the morning of Sept. 8 with the charge carrying a maximum of 10 years behind bars.
