Waconia man killed in weekend motorcycle crash

Authorities say one person is dead following a motorcycle crash early Saturday evening in Camden Township.

According to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 10600 block of Yale Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. for a reported motorcycle crash.

When they arrived, they found the bike down and a man lying on the gravel roadway.

Authorities say, despite lifesaving efforts, the biker died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office identified him as 64-year-old Clay Nystrom, of Waconia, and added that he appeared to have lost control while traveling north on Yale Avenue.
