Victims of 2 fatal south Minneapolis shootings identified
The victims of two separate south Minneapolis shootings that happened within blocks of each other Monday night have been identified.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office says 35-year-old Timothy Treyvon Brown of Coon Rapids was the man who was fatally shot at around 5:14 p.m. near 24th Street East and Elliot Avenue South. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death was ruled a homicide.

23-year-old Michael Lee Bell-McCalister of Minneapolis was shot in the head about 10 minutes later near Fifth Avenue South and East Franklin Avenue while he was driving. He was rushed to a hospital but died the next day. Police are investigating his death as the 17th homicide of the year in the city.

No arrests have been announced in either case.
