Victim who died from deadly shooting in Minneapolis identified

The male victim who died after a deadly shooting on Friday has been identified on Saturday as 20-year-old Elijah Lamont Whitner, from Minneapolis.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Whitner has been identified as the victim who died of multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death is a homicide.
Minneapolis Police said at around 12:34 p.m. on Friday, a shooting was reported at 2900 block of North Sixth Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Whitner and pronounced him dead at the scene.
A woman was also reportedly shot and is now in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
According to police, the relationship between the two people is unclear and the incident remains under investigation.
