Victim identified from Minneapolis’ Phillips neighborhood shooting

The victim that died from a Minneapolis shooting in the Phillips neighborhood was identified.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, 19-year-old Iaan James Wade of Minneapolis died due to multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death is homicide.

Police investigating homicide in Minneapolis’ Phillips neighborhood

The Minneapolis police were called just before 8:40 p.m. on Thursday to the area of Oakland Avenue and East 22nd Street on the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located Wade suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived and pronounced Wade dead at the scene.

It is believed the suspect and Wade were familiar with each other. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
