Vehicle crash in Cannon Falls leaves 1 dead
A 16-year-old died in a vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Cannon Falls.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at 2:44 a.m., the driver of a 2013 Kia Soul was traveling northbound on Highway 52 when it left the roadway, entered the median and then rolled across the southbound lanes.
The driver, later identified as 22-year-old Daniel Desmond Yeung, is suffering from life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
His passenger, a 16-year-old girl, died from the crash, said state patrol.
The state patrol said no alcohol was involved in the incident, but Yeung was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.
