USPS to hold multiple hiring events
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is holding multiple hiring events over the next two weekends in St. Paul.
The agency is hiring mail processing clerks and mail handler assistants. USPS officials say pay for processing clerks is $18.69 an hour, while the salary for handler assistants is $16.87 an hour.

The hiring events will be held at the USPS PSA Annex, located at 345 Plato Blvd. in St. Paul on the following days:
- 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8
- 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9
- 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15
- 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16
Thomas Molloy, the manager of Employee Development for Minnesota and North Dakota District, says there are multiple benefits that come with being an employee of USPS. Veterans who are employed by USPS can use their time in the military to count toward their years of federal service for retirement.
