A U.S. Paralympian made a surprise stop at the Jimmy Lee Rec Center in St. Paul on Saturday to hand out laptops to local youth.
The JK Movement is a nonprofit that helps empower and inspire the city’s young people.
Chuck Aoki handed out two free laptops to each kid — one for them and the second for their family.
For athletes partnering with the organization, it was an effort to show how important access to technology is.
"One of my biggest goals as an athlete is to give back," Aoki said. "To help support the… next athletes that are going to come around."
