UPDATE: St. Louis Park's Punch Bowl Social closes temporarily, 118 employees laid off

Punch Bowl Social in St. Louis Park has closed and laid off over 100 employees.

According to a statement, the layoff at Punch Bowl Minneapolis LLC was due to the result of the "unexpected and unforeseen business circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disaster."

Disruptions due to COVID-19 outbreak

The business will also be closed indefinitely due to the circumstances. The closure began on March 16.

However, the business told KSTP it does have plans to reopen in the future.
