U of M to use ‘Weeks of Welcome’ to orientate students during COVID-19
Instead of a traditional Welcome Week, the University of Minnesota announced it will welcome freshmen and transfer students over the course of four weeks.
Weeks of Welcome was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and hopes to connect students virtually, according to the U of M.
Every Monday from Aug. 10 to Sept. 7, students will be able to connect online with a student leader and other incoming students to learn about the university and the resources on campus.
While most large events that are held at the beginning of the year have been postponed, convocation will be held online on Sept. 7.
