In an organized protest Sunday, University of Minnesota students demanded changes to the campus police department.
The demonstrators, who marched around the U of M campus in Minneapolis, demanded community control over the U of M Police Department to determine its budget, review misconduct and make sure officers are disarmed.
They also advocated for a student and community accountability council that puts power in the hands of students, workers and neighbors affected by the UMPD.
