Two snowmobilers rescued after falling off 30-foot cliff

The St. Louis County Sheriff's office responded to the report of a snowmobile crash at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday, ABC's affiliate WDIO report. 

The crash occurred near Highway 53 and Forest Road 614.

According to authorities, eight snowmobiles were traveling northbound in a ditch on Highway 53 when two of the snowmobiles went over a 30-foot cliff and landed at the bottom of a ravine.

First responders used a combination of rescue toboggans, ropes, and an ATV winch to rescue the two snowmobilers. 

They were transported to St. Mary's hospital in Duluth.

The two snowmobilers' injuries were not considered life-threatening.
