Two men killed in north Minneapolis Saturday afternoon, police investigating
Two men are dead after a shooting in north Minneapolis Saturday afternoon.
A Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson said officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation around 3:45 p.m. just west of the intersection of West Broadway and North Bryant Avenues.
Officers arrived and found that two men had been shot. One of the men was reportedly dead when police arrived. Officers began life-saving measures on the other man, but he later died at the scene of the shooting.
Investigators believe the suspect or suspects fled the shooting in a vehicle, but no description was immediately available.
These are the 33rd and 34th deaths in Minneapolis that are being investigated as homicides in 2022.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the identities of the men killed along with the causes of their deaths.
