Two arrested after reported shooting in Waseca County

A shooting in Janesville Tuesday afternoon resulted in one victim being airlifted to treat the person’s injuries, according to the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said law enforcement responded to a report of a shooting in downtown Janesville, just east of Mankato, shortly before 3:30 p.m. The victim, who has not been identified, was transported via helicopter, and their condition is unknown at this time.
Two suspects were arrested in rural Waseca county shortly after the shooting, the sheriff’s office noted.
No officers were injured, and law enforcement does not believe there is any threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
