Twins to host Cole Swindell concert after Aug. 4 game

Baseball and country music fans have an opportunity to enjoy both this summer in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Twins say Grammy-nominated country music star Cole Swindell will play a concert at Target Field following the team’s game on Aug. 4.

Any fan who buys a ticket to that Thursday night Twins game will have free admission to the postgame concert, which is expected to last 75 minutes.

“Twins baseball and country music on a summer evening at Target Field is a fantastic combination,” Twins President & CEO Dave St. Peter said. “We are thrilled to bring Cole Swindell and his 11 No. 1 hits – and counting! – to our ballpark, and we look forward to sharing a fun night of great baseball and music with our fans on Thursday, August 4.”

The Twins say Swindell will take the field around 15 minutes after the game ends. Special ticket packages that include a co-branded cap and an on-field pass for the concert are available online.

Swindell recently released a new album, “Stereotype,” that has already produced two back-to-back multi-week No. 1 hits.
