Twin Cities Pride events to take place virtually

Friday, Twin Cities Pride organizers announced the events will take place virtually on June 27 and 28.

In a statement, organizers said they are planning a virtual marketplace, concert series, art show, Rainbow Run 5K and a Pride parade.

"Twin Cities Pride may look different in 2020, but we're excited to celebrate with everyone in a new way," Twin Cities Pride Board Chair Darcie Baumann said in the statement. "We're also very grateful we can continue supporting our vendors and small business partners."

Organizers have announced the role of Parade Grand Marshal will honor "the essential workers keeping our communities running during COVID-19."

Previoulsy, in April, organizers announced in-person events would be postponed.
