Truck crashes through fence, launches over bleachers and onto football field in Hastings

A pickup truck rammed through a fence and onto a football field Wednesday morning in Hastings, authorities confirmed.
According to the Hastings Police Department, the driver of the pickup truck was driving northbound on Eddy Street toward Highway 55 at a high speed. The truck crossed the highway and went through the chain-link fence that separates McNamara Stadium from the road.
The truck launched over the visitors' bleachers and onto the football field below.
The driver was taken to Regions Hospital with unknown injuries. The truck was significantly damaged, police said.
The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting the Hastings Police Department with the crash investigation. No citations have been issued.
