Trooper’s squad damaged by gunfire in Duluth
A Minnesota State Patrol’s squad car was damaged Monday in Duluth, according to Hubbard Broadcasting affiliate WDIO-TV.
Duluth Police told WDIO that a trooper was conducting a vehicle inspection on North Central Avenue near West Seventh Street at around 10:30 a.m. During the inspection, the driver’s side window of the trooper’s squad was struck and shattered.
Investigators said the window appeared to have been struck twice by projectiles from a BB gun or pellet gun.
Authorities said nobody was injured and the incident remains under investigation. No suspects had been located as of Monday night.
