Teen with life-threatening injuries after crash with semi in Chisago County

A teenage boy is in the hospital after his car collided with a semi on Sunday in Chisago County, according to a Minnesota Department of Public Safety report.

The report says the two vehicles traveling opposite directions on Highway 95 in Franconia Township collided after the teen’s car crossed lane lines.

17-year-old William Jeffrey Lissy of St. Croix Falls in Wisconsin is in Regions Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Lissy was wearing a seatbelt, and his car’s airbag was deployed.

The semi-driver, a 37-year-old man from Forest Lake, was not hurt.
Several agencies assisted at the scene.

No further information is expected to be released.
