Teen injured during shooting near North Commons Park

Police are investigating after they say a 16-year-old was shot during the overnight hours in Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis police, officers were called to North Memorial Hospital shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a boy who had been brought there with non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

Police say the boy told them he heard gunfire while walking near North Commons Park, and was hit.

Currently, no one is in custody.
