Teen injured after shooting himself in the leg New Year’s Eve in Moorhead

Investigators say they confirmed that a 17-year-old boy who was injured in Moorhead Sunday shot himself in the leg.

Police say he suffered a non-life-threatening injury when walking in public with the concealed weapon around 5 p.m. in the 1200 block of 34th Street Circle South.

Law enforcement say they are requesting charges of concealing a handgun without a permit and negligent discharge within city limits.
