Teen boy in hospital following water emergency on St. Croix River
Authorities say a 17-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was pulled from the St. Croix River on Thursday.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said first responders were called to the waterfront around 5:40 p.m. near the 2000 block of Riviera Avenue South in Lake St. Croix Beach on a report of a juvenile who had gone underwater while playing with friends.
A member of the Washington County rescue dive team recovered the boy around 6:30 p.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The sheriff’s office did not have any information on the boy’s condition Thursday evening.
