Teen airlifted to hospital after being hit by car in Elk River
Police say a teenage boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was hit by a car Tuesday evening in Elk River.
According to the Elk River Police Department, a vehicle hit the 14-year-old pedestrian at the intersection of Twin Lakes Road Northwest and Industrial Circle, close to Spectrum High School and Spectrum Middle School.
The boy was taken to the hospital by LifeLink helicopter, police said. His condition is unknown at this time.
The driver did not suffer any injuries, according to police.
This crash remains under investigation.
