Suspect arrested after vehicle with 3-month-old inside stolen in Minneapolis

Minneapolis Police recovered a stolen vehicle with a 3-month-old child inside Thursday morning.

MPD said in a report that a mother went into a convenience store at around 11 a.m. and left the vehicle running with the child inside.

A man then took the vehicle with the child while the woman was inside the store. Police said the suspect also struck at least two vehicles while driving away.

Officers said they located the stolen vehicle within 10 minutes of the theft in the 20 block of 30th Avenue Southeast. The child was safe inside and the suspect was gone.

The suspect was later found and arrested, police said.
