Suspect arrested after Maplewood stabbing leaves victim in critical condition

Maplewood police officers responded to a report of a man stabbed multiple times Friday afternoon.

Police say the victim, a man in his 30s, was in critical condition as of Friday evening. First responders were called at about 1:45 p.m. to the 300 block of Larpenteur Avenue East before taking the victim to Regions Hospital.

The suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived, was later arrested and booked at Ramsey County Jail for felony second-degree assault, according to the Maplewood Police Department.

The case is still under investigation, and police say there are no other outstanding suspects.
