Suni Lee named Individual Sportswoman of the Year by Women’s Sports Foundation
Suni Lee, Minnesota’s Olympic gold medal gymnast, earned another honorary title for her performance in all four categories in women’s gymnastics.
The Women’s Sports Foundation has named her 2022 Individual Sportswoman of the year.
In 2021, the 19-year-old brought home the all-around gold medal and earned bronze in the uneven bars during the Olympic Games in Tokyo. She also brought the U.S. team to silver in the team event and was the first Hmong American to compete in the Olympics.

The Women’s Sports Foundation said that she “has proven to the world that she is unshakeable and can excel at all four categories in women’s gymnastics — and the global spotlight — with poise, strength, ad agility.”
