Sun Country adds new route from MSP to Nevada

Sun Country Airline has announced four new routes, one of which offers a chance for Minnesotans to fly to Nevada.

Tuesday morning, the airline announced fliers can now travel from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) starting Sept. 1, 2022.

According to the airline, the service will be operated twice a week, specifically on Thursdays and Sundays, and will have one-way fares as low as $69.

Other new routes for the airline include:

  • Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport to Las Vegas, beginning Sept. 9.
  • Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin to Las Vegas, beginning Sept. 9.
  • Harlingen, Texas to Cancun International Airport, beginning June 1.

Airline officials say its current schedule is being extended through mid-December this year.
