State Patrol squad hit on I-35E, troopers avoid serious injuries

A Minnesota State Patrol squad car was hit by a vehicle Friday night but, fortunately, it didn't result in any serious injuries.
The State Patrol said the troopers were on a traffic stop on southbound Interstate 35E near University Avenue in St. Paul at about 9:15 p.m. when another vehicle hit their squad car.
The two troopers and the driver of the other vehicle weren't seriously injured, the State Patrol said.
An investigation into the crash is underway but impairment isn't suspected.
