State patrol seeks help finding driver of semi that hit female pedestrian
The Minnesota State Patrol is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a semi truck that hit a woman Thursday night in Becker County.
The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m. along Highway 34 near Height of Land Township, according to the state patrol.
The Volvo tractor, a VNL 64 model, was pulling a flatbed trailer with a tarp covering its load and was heading west along Highway 34 when it struck the 42-year-old female pedestrian near 385th Avenue, the state patrol reports.
The state patrol says the right front headlight of the suspect vehicle was out and the tractor had noticeable damage to the front bumper and headlight area.
Authorities said the suspect vehicle was last seen traveling west through the Detroit Lakes area.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries considered to be life-threatening.
