State Patrol: Blaine woman hit, killed while crossing intersection
The Minnesota State Patrol says a woman is dead after she was hit while crossing an intersection Thursday evening in Blaine.
According to an incident report, the crash occurred at 6:35 p.m. on southbound Highway 47 at 85th Avenue when 47-year-old Lavonne Piipke was hit by a southland Toyota Highlander, which had a green light.
Authorities say the driver, identified as a 31-year-old Blaine man, wasn’t injured.
Early Friday morning, the State Patrol confirmed no arrests were made, and alcohol isn’t considered to be a factor.
