State event regarding crime, gun violence postponed

An event previously scheduled to be held Thursday afternoon involving Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, as well as the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has been postponed.

According to Walz’s office, the previously scheduled event was a check-in regarding the state’s work to address crime and gun violence.

Walz’s office announced the postponement shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The state didn’t immediately provide a reason as to why the event was postponed, or give a new date for the event.
