State agencies warn of 'high' to 'extreme' wildfire risk Friday

The Minnesota Incident Command System (MNICS) and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are warning of "high" to "extreme" fire danger Friday in Minnesota.

According to the agencies, conditions throughout the state mean wildfires are likely to spread, if they start.

"MNICS agencies and cooperators are prepared to respond to fire activity and ready to share emergency mutual aid assistance if necessary," MNICS stated in a Facebook post.
