St. Paul police to allow officers to have beards

You might start to notice some St. Paul police officers looking a little different.

On Thursday, St. Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell announced that after years of prohibiting facial hair for officers, he's now open to changing the tradition.

Axtell said the decision was made for several reasons, including attracting new recruits and being more approachable in the community.
