The deadline for priority enrollment for St. Paul Public Schools is coming up, and parents received help with that decision on Saturday.

Schools from kindergarten all the way through senior year were on display at the School Choice Fair at the Union Depot, all with the goal of connecting parents with the school that best fits their children's needs.

Not all districts offer that choice, but SPPS Superintendent Joe Gothard says it's important because each student is unique.

"We are missing out on opportunities if we feel we need to offer the same experience in every one of our schools at every level because our children have unique differences that should be celebrated," Gothard said.
