St. Paul apartment fire leaves 3 in hospital

Three people were hurt Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out at an apartment building in St. Paul’s east side.
According to the St. Paul Fire Department, around 2:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire at Johnson Parkway Apartments on the 1300 block of Ames Avenue East.
Crews put out the fire and took two people from the apartment where the fire originated. A total of three patients were taken to the hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
