St. Paul apartment fire believed to be intentionally set, authorities say
Authorities are investigating an apartment fire that happened Tuesday evening in the St. Anthony Park area of St. Paul.
The St. Paul Fire Department said firefighters were called to the scene of a fire at an apartment building on the 2300 block of Charles Avenue around 7:23 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a fire that had been extinguished by sprinklers in a hallway of the building.
One person was taken to the hospital for injuries that were unrelated to the fire. No one else was hurt, the department said.
The fire is suspected to have been intentionally set, the department said, but investigators are still working to determine the exact cause.
