St. Croix RiverFest going virtual amid pandemic
St. Croix RiverFest is going virtual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On its website, the event says, "In light of current COVID-19 health and safety concerns the 2020 event will be held as a virtual event with a range of activities designed to encourage people of all ages to enjoy the Lower St. Croix River and all that it provides."
The five-day event, which runs from July 21-25, celebrates the river and the need to preserve it.
While the goal is to get people out and enjoying the river, the river cleanup is the purpose for the celebration, the event’s website notes.
