Split Rock Lighthouse expanding access; tickets on sale

With COVID-19 restrictions loosening, Split Rock Lighthouse is preparing to expand access for visitors.

The Minnesota Historical Society said visitors will be allowed inside the historic lighthouse starting on May 28 with the purchase of a general admission ticket.

Visitors not wanting to go inside the lighthouse can still get a grounds pass to see the visitor center, fog signal building and the rest of the grounds.

The Keeper’s Tour will be offered twice per day, at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., the Historical Society said.

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 651-259-3015.
