Wright County residents evacuated due to gas leak allowed to return Tuesday night

UPDATE: Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the city of Annandale announced residents who were evacuated due to a gas leak were able to return to their homes.

According to the city, a gas main was hit on Highland St. during the construction of a city project, causing the leak and evacuation.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking certain residents in Annandale to evacuate due to a gas leak.

The area is between Plymouth Avenue and Highland Street, county officials said.

An alert was sent out to impacted residents just before 5 p.m.
