One military museum in South St. Paul highlights the service and sacrifice of veterans through a unique collection.
The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing has several World War II airplanes.
"We’re kind of the hidden little secret here in South Saint Paul," Mitch Bertrang, with the Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing, said.
More than 50 years ago, the nonprofit was founded to restore and preserve a collection of combat aircraft in flying condition from all U.S. military services.
"Getting down to that detail it really gives you an appreciation of the draftsmen, the engineers, how they assemble these aircraft, it really takes that story and paints it in full color," Bertrang said.
