Shots fired from vehicle in Woodbury, police investigating

A report of shots fired from a vehicle is being investigated by the Woodbury Public Safety Department.

According to police, at about 5:06 p.m., a shots fired call was responded to in the area of Valley Creek Road and Valley Creek Plaza. The suspect vehicle was described to be a black BMW, or Acura. The vehicle’s windows were also noted to be tinted.

An occupant of the suspect car was reported to have fired five shots out of the window at another vehicle. Detectives are interviewing the occupants of that vehicle. They were unharmed in the incident.

One 911 caller stated the shots came from the back passenger side of the vehicle. The shooter was identified as a Black male.

Officers checked the area but have not located the suspect vehicle. At this time, it appears that the shots fired missed the targeted vehicle, but struck an entrance sign for Woodbury Village.

This is an ongoing investigation.
