Shooting outside Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis seriously injures young man
A 19-year-old is fighting for his life after he was shot Friday outside the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis Police Department spokesman Officer Garrett Parten, officers responded to a reported shooting around 4:48 p.m. near Hennepin Avenue and First Street North. Police found a shooting victim and rendered aid until medics arrived to take over.
The man was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries, Parten said.
Investigators believe the victim had come in contact with some people in a vehicle, and shots were fired from the vehicle after he walked away.
Police say the shooting remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
