Sheriff's Office: Sherburne County woman charged after shooting gun at boyfriend
Thursday, a woman from Sherburne County was been charged after her boyfriend accused her of firing a gunshot at him.
The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office says 48-year-old Renee Marie Kantor, who resides in Orrock Township, has been charged with second-degree assault in the incident.
According to the sheriff's office, the incident happened just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at a residence located on the 18000 block of 246th Avenue NW. The victim told authorities the gunshot narrowly missed his head before he wrestled the gun away from her and called 911, according to Sheriff Joel Brott.
The 54-year-old victim was not injured. He told police he was eating lunch at the time when he and Kantor got into an argument. Brott said Kantor then pulled out a handgun and told the victim that she was going to kill him. She then fired one shot that missed him and went through a wall.
Kantor made her first court appearance Thursday after the criminal complaint and charge was filed by the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office.
