Sheriff: 4-year-old hit, killed by skid steer in western Wisconsin

A 4-year-old boy died Wednesday night after getting hit by a skid steer in western Wisconsin.

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office says emergency personnel were called to a reported farm accident in the town of Peru at around 8:10 p.m.

Medical personnel provided aid to the child but he died from his injuries at the scene.

Early information indicates that a family member was driving the skid steer, the sheriff’s office says. At some point, the skid steer hit and ran over the boy.

The investigation remains active.
