Officers in South St. Paul recused a person inside of a burning home on Wednesday morning.

Body-worn camera footage from Sgt. Michael Dahl and Officer Aaron Schmidt of the rescue can be viewed above.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for the South St. Paul Police Department said, in part, “The men and women proudly serving this community with professionalism and integrity make a difference each day in the lives of our residents but unfortunately, we cannot share much of their great work as it typically involves an ongoing criminal investigation. By the time that investigation has wrapped up and data is public, interest has faded and we find ourselves onto the next adventure.”
