Second man sentenced in connection to arson at south Minneapolis bank

A second man has been sentenced in connection to an arson that occurred at a Wells Fargo in south Minneapolis.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 30-year-old Marc Bell Gonzales was sentenced to just over three years (37 months) in prison.

According to court documents, on May 28, Gonzales and other set fire to the bank. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says he poured gasoline onto the building while a crowd chanted "burn it down."

Last month, Alexander Steven Heil was also sentenced in connection to the arson of the bank.
