Remaining fences at Minnesota Capitol to come down starting June 1
After fencing and concrete barriers were placed around the Minnesota Capitol late last year and replaced with newer fencing last month, the setup will be completely taken down starting on June 1.
Curt Yoakum, assistant commissioner of communications and planning at the Minnesota Department of Administration, confirmed the update to KSTP on Tuesday.
"Removal of the fence will begin on June 1 and take several days to have everything completely removed from the site," Yoakum said in an email.
There is no word when the remaining barriers will be removed from areas of Minneapolis.
